GCSS-Army Backward Compatibility
When the Army sensed operational risk in mixing new GCSS-Army ERP users with legacy systems, Connected Logistics provided logisticians, data engineers, architects and process improvement expertise to identify gaps and overlaps between the systems that supply, maintain and account for $4 trillion dollars in Army materiel. By codifying risk and cost, we enabled the Army and its Lead System Integrator to focus on high value data interchanges and conversions. We identified hundreds of legacy data elements that were no longer needed and prioritized derivations that were still required. This project is enabling the GCSS-Army project to remain on schedule and dramatically reducing risk to the Army during the four year tactical ERP deployment period.
